CompMath SummerCampThe purpose of the OSS Competition Math Summer Camp is to introduce the students the world of Competition Math and the joy of Mathematics. The camp will be 10 days and it will take place at Orlando Science School between Monday, July 24th through Thursday, August 3rd.

Students need to be qualified to participate in a certain course. Eligibility is determined either through an existing competition score or the selection test. Previous years’ MathCounts or AMC 8 results will be used for placement. If a student doesn’t have any score from these competitions then he/she will be taking a placement test on the first day. After that, the student will be placed in an appropriate class.

Please ensure you read about the schedule and the course descriptions and choose the one you think most applicable. OSS reserves its rights to direct to the more appropriate course or deny enrollment if the requirements are not met.

Classes: There will be around 12 students in each class
• Elementary Beginner (4th or 5th graders)
• MathCounts/AMC 8 Beginner (5th or 6th graders)
• MathCounts/AMC 8 Intermediate (6th or 7th graders)
• MathCounts/AMC 8 Advanced (7th or 8th graders)

Please note, camp staff may not be trained to assist special need learning styles. The camps require campers to demonstrate teamwork skills and cooperation in social settings. Parents are asked to consider this when registering for camp. The camps will be conducted at the Orlando Science High School campus. Registration fee is $200. Students need to bring their own lunch.

Payment is due along with registration form. Payments methods accepted through SchoolPay, and checks. Make checks payable to Orlando Science Schools. Form and fees can be mailed to (or drop off at):
