Overview & Accomplishments
Orlando Science Schools (OSS) is a tuition-free, public charter school in Orange County with an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Since opening in 2008, OSS has been providing a well-rounded curriculum aligned with Florida Sunshine State Standards taught in an intimate learning environment. Located in the metro-Orlando area, near the intersection of Princeton and John Young Parkway, OSS is the educational 'home base' for over 1,000 Central Florida students representing diverse cultural and economic backgrounds.

o Twenty five 7th grade students from Orlando Science Middle/High are among the students being honored by the Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP) for their exceptional scores on the ACT or SAT. The students received State Level recognition by Duke University.
o Eleven 7th grade students from Orlando Science Middle/High are among the students being honored by the Duke University Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP) for their exceptional scores on the ACT or SAT. These students received the prestigious National Recognition by Duke University!
o 2nd Place in Florida Science Olympiad State Finals
o Science Olympiad Team Represented the Florida in the National Science Olympiad Finals in Div. B Category.
o OSS FIRST Robotics Team has represented the State of Florida in the World Championship five times.
o 1st Place for OSS at Central Florida MathCounts Chapter competition, proceeding to State Finals
o Highest Fundraising School in Relay for Life by Donating over $10,000 over two years
o 16 Projects ranked Top Three placements in Dr. Nelson Ying Orange County Science Exposition
o Orlando Science Middle & Hs has qualified to compete in the state level competition of the National Geographic Bee
o Three History Fair Projects advanced to the state history day competition.
o One OSS Senior received Scholastic Art and Writing Awards from the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers!
o High School Mu Alpha Theta Team earned
o Team 5070 N.U.T.S. earned the 2nd Place overall, UNDEFEATED, and was the captain of the Finalist Alliance. Team 6379 Clockwork Mania was selected to be part of the Finalist Alliance.
o All three Robotics Team advanced to the League of Championships.

o Graduation of the first OSS Senior Class, 99% of students graduated with honors and 100% were accepted into college
